The Flintstones

As we prepare to leave Boulder for the summer, I am very sad about needing to say goodbye to my volleyball team "The Flintstones." We have had some great seasons together, and I am looking forward to more when David and I return to Colorado in the fall.
These volleyball stars are (from back left) Ann, Holly, Analia, Christie, (front left) Cassie and Kelley.

Flower Children

David has been doing a great job keeping everyone informed of our summer plans. While the list of our exciting upcoming events is long, there is something very important that he has forgotten to mention.

My dear friend Elizabeth lives only about an hour north of San Francisco! After our years at Hillsdale College, and then a summer traveling Europe together, we have usually lived the better part of a continent apart from one another. I am looking forward to being able to share some time together this summer, without involving a flight across the country.

During our quick trip to SF to visit AMB, Elizabeth was able to come and spend a day with us. Here we are posing as some of my favorite things.

Summer Plans

Hey Family and Friends:

Kelley and I just want to send an update on our plans. We've got so many cool things happening in the next few weeks...it's hard to believe.

Today, April 12 and tomorrow April 13:
Watching the Masters at Augusta National!

April 18 -25:
My cousin Andrew and his oldest son, Jonah, arrive to hang out with us in Boulder for a week. They plan to hike, camp, fish, etc. We are all going to a Colorado Rockies baseball game together also! We can't wait to have them here!

April 22:
My last exam. So, my first year of the MBA program will be over in about a week and a half. Woah! That means I only have one more year until I have to enter the world of reality again and get a real job...woah?

April 25 - May 3:
Kelley and I fly to Hilton Head Island (South Carolina) to spend a week with our families. My parents and my siblings (Daniel/Amanda and Marilyn/Kent) and my nephews/nieces will be there as well as Kelley's parents, siblings (Kent/Marilyn and Austin/Amy), nieces and nephews...it is going to be amazing. We are all staying in a big house near the ocean. This is by far the most important event we have planned for this spring.

May 5:
Kelley and I should have our vehicle packed and ready to drive to San Francisco. It's going to be crazy to finish school, head to Hilton Head, packup and then depart in such a short time, but hey, why not.

May 7:
Kelley and I should arrive in San Francisco. Where are we going to live? We don't know yet, but hopefully we'll have that figured out by May 7! All we are taking is some clothes (and probably quite a few art supplies).

May 8:
David starts his summer internship at AMB Property Corporation.

May 15-18:
David travels to Chicago for the 4th annual TOC (Tournament of Champions) with my cousins (Matt and Jason) and my little brother (Daniel). This event alone is something incredible to look forward to!!!!!! It's a knock down, drag out, weekend of superior class athletic competition that is hard to beat anywhere this side of the summer Olympics in Beijing. My cousin Matt and I will look to remain undefeated in this event! (Funny mental picture: we are planning a 5K race as part of the competition this year...think about that!)

May 19:
I guess this is when we start to actually "live" in San Francisco. It seems crazy to think that we'll be there for the summer. I don't consider us to be a "big city" kind of people, but I guess we'll find out this summer.

September 1:
Kelley and I will drive back to Boulder, CO. School resumes again on September 8.

Well, I guess that's it.

Bye for now.
