Visitors from Minnesota

My cousin John and his wife Hannah visited us this weekend in Boulder (actually they are still here...they depart tomorrow morning). It sure is sweet to have them here. They arrived on Friday afternoon and we hit the mountains right away...as is evidenced by the lovely mountain ladies seen here...

They took off on Saturday morning to the Keystone ski area and they returned this afternoon (Sundqay). Tonight we all went to church together and walked to a local pizza place.
Two cool dudes picture below...

Cousin John's statement: "I can't believe David lives within 200 yards of agreasy, old fashioned looking BBQ shack named 'Big Daddy Bruce's BBQ' and has not partaken of the fare. Although he has stated his intention to do so in short order as to avoid avoid the disgust from all BBQ rib lovers including his cousins."
Kelley's response: "I think I'l let David try this on his own...

OU Flag in Iraq

This is a photo of a good friend of mine from college, Lt. Carlis Brown of the U.S. Army. A few months ago he sent a request out to some of my college classmates and I to get him an Oakland University flag so he could hang in in the his mess hall in Baghdad...here it is!

Carlis has been serving us for over one year in Iraq, he is scheduled to come home to his beautiful wife (Michelle) and daughter (Taylor) in Virginia next month.

God Bless you Carlis, thanks for protecting us...we pray you come home safe.
Carlis is in the middle with two of his fellow servicemen.

Photo of my Little Brother and I

My little brother from Boulder - Alex. Alex came over today to hang out. We went bowling and he beat me up on the air hockey table. He's 10 years old and has 2 sisters and 1 brother. He's a pretty cool guy.

I should have tried out...

The American Gladiator TV show held tryouts today on campus. I was exercising in the weight room and I could watch the tryouts in the gym as I lifted weights. The line to enter the tryouts must have been at least 1/8 mile long...it was nuts. Some of the actual gladiators were here...I don't know which ones, but there was a woman who looked like a blond Incredible Hulk.

This photo is not from the tryouts here. The competitors here had to do things such as: as many pulls ups and pushups as they could in 1 minute then there were some jumping and sprintings tests...really not that much for having to wait in line for 3-4 hours and fill out a 28 page application....
